Hello, my name is Jordan Best, and I am a Semester by the Bay student, interning with KBNERR and the City of Homer this spring. I am studying Conservation Ecology at the Kachemak Bay Campus this semester after obtaining my Marine Mammal Biology OEC last semester. Although I am from Wasilla, Homer is quickly feeling more like home. I love going for walks around the harbor looking at the sea otters and seals, and the community has been so warm and welcoming. I am looking forward to the water quality work I’ll be doing this semester for KBNERR and the city!
