Kachemak Bay Environmental Educators Alliance (KBEEA) held it’s winter meeting at the Research Reserve this January. KBEEA was founded in March 2000. The Alliance is made up of the diverse array of non-profit, state, federal and community organizations in Kachemak Bay that serve kids, educators, community members and visitors. KBEEA members work together to elevate environmental education, connecting youth and adults to the wonders of Kachemak Bay through a variety of environmental and outdoor education activities. The winter meeting covered topics on education resource kits at the Pratt Museum and U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, and collaborative programs such as Discovery Labs and Science Fridays in Seldovia.
KBEEA Mission: We, the Kachemak Bay Environmental Education Alliance, are united in our efforts to educate and inspire individuals and the Kachemak Bay community to actively participate in environmental stewardship as integral elements of a healthy sustainable ecosystem.
